About KIBRI

At KIBRI, we look for artists who channel wisdom that reaches beyond themselves—wisdom connected to a higher source—and transform it into powerful expressions that speak to our time. We work with visionaries who go beyond creating something visual—artists who reflect stories, challenges, and aspirations, translating them into art that resonates across cultures. Their work helps us see the familiar in new ways, uncover perspectives we may have overlooked, and connect more deeply with one another.

We believe every artist carries a form of wisdom that is both deeply personal and universally human. This wisdom, when expressed through art, invites us to question easy narratives, to look beyond what we’ve been taught, and to embrace complexity. Through their creativity, we are given the chance to listen, learn, and grow together.

The name KIBRI means “appreciation” and originates from Tigrinya, one of the world’s oldest known languages. Rooted in Eritrea—a land rich in history and often recognized as part of the cradle of civilization—the word KIBRI also appears in ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs, symbolizing a timeless reverence for culture and expression.

Our mission is grounded in the belief that to honor the present and shape the future, we must embrace the wisdom and creativity that artists offer—voices that reflect the diversity, resilience, and shared humanity of the world, guided by a higher source of inspiration.

Through immersive exhibitions, guest speakers, and panel discussions, we create space for dialogue, discovery, and connection. Our programs are designed to spark curiosity, strengthen community, and cultivate a deeper appreciation for art’s role in shaping who we are and who we aspire to be.
